there is not a lot of crime here, so that is good to know

everything here is way cheap (well especially compared to London)
lots of amazing produce from litle markets and outdoor markets in general
people are so warm and friendly, sure there are men who are immature and feel like they have to mimic mock or make kissy noises, but for the most part they leave you alone
the metro is easy! biking is easy! Id even ride a motorcycle or a vespa here, soooo cool.
the beach is where its at, and there is such a culture of just being there
everything is rather sweet. it is common to offer someone something sweet also when they come to your house. popsicles or polos as they are called, are popular especially this time of year
wearing shorts all day and all night, friggen amazing
tapas are rich and abundant
there are lots of alternative, complementary and new age shops around
i have made more friends in three days than in three months in london, people here are so friendly!
